About The Glorious Feast of the Resurrection (Coptic Easter)
The greatest of the Church's feasts: the Resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ from the dead on the third day. Its date is reckoned every year by the Epact calculation, so it always falls on a Sunday, and with it move the Fast of Nineveh, Great Lent, the Ascension, Pentecost and the Apostles' Fast. It opens the Holy Fifty Days, fifty days of joy with no fasting.
