About The Entry of Christ into Egypt
The commemoration of the coming of the Holy Family to Egypt, fleeing from Herod (Matthew 2:13-15), fulfilling the prophecy "Out of Egypt I called My Son." The Holy Family visited many places in Egypt that became monasteries and churches, among them Matariya, Mostorod and the Muharraq Monastery.
