About Paramoun of the Theophany
The paramoun is a day of preparation for the feast, kept with a strict fast. It is one day before the feast, but the strict fast is not kept on Saturday or Sunday: when the feast falls on a Sunday the paramoun becomes two days (Friday and Saturday), and when it falls on a Monday, three days (Friday, Saturday and Sunday).
